Our official hike day is June 24th, but you can change your hike day to anytime that works for you. Ideally, a different hiker or group of hikers will cover each peak so we can have as large an impact as possible. This year, our goal is for a Solidarity Hike to take place on each of the NH-48 4000’ers in our headquarters region, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, as well as other smaller peaks in the area. This year, you have the option to organize a hike with your friends using Ridj-it, a meetup platform similar to Eventbrite that makes it easy for you to share your itinerary and hike details so friends can join you and/or make a donation to your hike. Use our template to create descriptions or emails! Social media, such as Instagram, Facebook, or other websites like GoFundMe can help you track donations and maximize fundraising. Use the hashtag #SummitsInSolidarity and tag Not sure what to write? Use our template!Īsk your friends and family to donate with you. Include an Indigenous land acknowledgement. Tell them why you summit in solidarity with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color impacted by racism and barriers to the outdoors. Post your photo on social platforms and email to friends. Make a donation to the fundraiser, especially if you are white. Take a photo at the summit with one of our bandana flags, a cardboard+marker sign saying “Summits in Solidarity”, “Solidarity Not Supremacy”, or another statement showing your support for racial justice and outdoor access. New England folks who can help us cover the 48 4000-footers in our headquarters region, the White Mountains of NH, can also adopt or join specific hikes below if desired. You have the option to create a hike webpage (see below) that allows friends to join your hike and/or donate to your hike.
